Kalia’s horse farm was formed about 30 years ago and managed by Itzik Hanukah, a riding and therapeutic riding instructor. At the farm, children learn western riding. The farm also offers one or two-hour riding tours. The riders start riding after a short lesson on the ground explaining the horses’ codes and how to give them instructions.
One hour tour:
Start the tour on a dirt road that surrounds the kibbutz, go up to a lookout point of the area and return in a circular path back to the farm, accompanied by a guide and explanations about the area.
Suitable for ages 10 and up.
Two hours tour:
We start the tour at the Marl Hills, continue into Wadi Og, passes through the date plantations and from there in a circular path back to the farm. Accompanied by a guide and explanations about the area.
Suitable for ages 10 and up.
At the farm, we take the rider’s safety very seriously. Riders will wear helmets at all times while riding.
