What are the food options?

Kibbutz Dining Hall

Breakfast is served in the guesthouse dining area. An Israeli breakfast buffet.
On Fridays, dinner is served in the dining area as well. (Kosher).

Mi Casa Restaurant

Dinner is at the Mi Casa Restaurant (menu attached). The restaurant is located around 15 minutes’ drive from the kibbutz.

The Lower Bar

The lowest bar in the world, located at the happiest place on Kalia beach, just by the water’s edge, offering a chillout vibe with views. Good music, cooling fans, tasty food and cold beer. Everything you need for the perfect atmosphere at the end of a day.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in from 3pm Sun-Fri

Are BBQs allowed?

Yes, you can have a BBQ in the designated area outside the room. You can borrow a BBQ to use in public areas.

Can we bring our pet dog?

Yes, you can bring a dog, but not to the pool area, and upon receiving the room, you sign a form that if there is any damage to the room, you are responsible.

Is there a baby cot in the room?

If a baby (age 0-2) is listed in the reservation, then there will be a playpen in the room.

Is there a toddler pool and if so, is it shaded?

Yes, we have a shaded toddler pool and part of the main pool is also in the shade.

What are the swimming pool’s opening hours?

Our swimming pool is seasonal and is open from Passover through to Sukkot. Opening hours change slightly between seasons. Usually they are 10am-6pm.

Is the hotel Kosher?

Yes, we are certified by the rabbinate of the Bik'at HaYarden Regional Council.

What are the breakfast hours?

Sun-Thu 8-9:30am
Fridays and Saturdays 8-10am

Do you offer spa treatments?

We have various types of massage treatments. You can get more information and book at reception. Treatments are 300NIS for 50 minutes.

Is the hotel located near the beach?

No, it’s 7km away, a few minutes’ drive.

Are there shuttles to Kalia Beach?

No, you need to make your own way.

How can you get to Kalia Beach without a vehicle?

It’s a bit problematic. You can take a bus towards Jerusalem; the bus stop is on the road and you’ll need to walk to the beach from there. It’s also possible to hitchhike from the entrance of the kibbutz.

What’s available at Kalia Beach and what are the opening hours?

A designated beach with sitting areas, parasols / umbrellas, toilets, showers, changing rooms, the Lower Bar for eating and drinking. Opening hours are 8am-6pm daily, 5pm in winter.

What types of rooms do you offer?

We offer 3 types of rooms:
1. Tamar Rooms – a double room for couples only
2. Desert Rose – a family room for up to a couple+3 (a mattress on the floor for the third child, making the room crowded).
3. Yarden Apartment – for couples +up to 4 children

What are the room amenities?

Each room has a small refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee corner with cups and spoons without milk, the Jordan apartments also have an electric stove for cooking (no cooking utensils), each room has forks, knives and plates.

Is dinner available in the kibbutz?

On Fridays there’s a permanent dinner option (meat buffet). The price is 160NIS per adult and 100NIS per child.
During the week, if there is a group, it’s possible to join it.

Where can you eat in the area?

You can eat at Kalia Beach, open every day from 8am-6pm during the summer and 5pm in winter.
Mi Casa, a restaurant around 12 minutes’ drive from Kalia is open every day from 12-9pm.
The Last Chance at Almog Junction
There are two meat restaurants at Kfar Adumim, Hamaashena and the Canaanite.

Does the kibbutz have a minimarket?

Yes, there is a minimarket in the kibbutz. Opening hours are Sun-Thu 7am-3pm, 5pm-7pm, Fri 7am-2pm, 8-9pm
